Victorian State BMX titles

Friday 18th November 2016 marks a big day for Retro racing in Victoria, after much lobbying and building the sport and its participation, the retro class will make it’s debut as a offical part of the Victorian State BMX championships, to be held at the Shepparton BMX club.

The entries over the 3 classes are massive and to be honest are a surprise to everybody involved, in particular the 8 to 13 class which boasts 19 riders, just a little under the 30+ retro class which has 22 entries and the 14 to 29 class that has 7 riders, for a massive total of 48 racers, that are bringing out their old school, retro BMX’s.

For those that are racing here is some important information about the event.

Registration for all classes begins Thursday 17th, November from 12:30 to 5:30 and the nearby Velodrome building.
Practice for all retro classes runs from 3:30pm to 3:45pm, not a lot of time but it will give you a chance to get a couple of laps in and familiarise yourself with the track.
Registration reopens Friday morning at 8pm and runs to 10pm
All retro class practice from 10am to 10:20am, transponder and state issued race plate must be attached.
Racing begins at 11am with 3 motos and finals, there is no invitational finals

As usual all event information, including lane draws, semi final and final information will be on ezeventing.
